Multiple Poker Formats
From the ever-popular Texas Hold'em to Omaha and exclusive live variants — pedro88 has something for every playing style.
The most popular poker format in the world and at Pedro88. Each player receives 2 hole cards and shares 5 community cards. Easy to learn, but it takes serious strategy to truly master.
Each player receives 4 hole cards but must use exactly 2 of them. More cards mean more possibilities — this variant is a favourite among players who have already mastered Hold'em.
A variant of Omaha where the pot is split between the highest and lowest hands. Players can win half or the entire pot — adding a unique and compelling extra layer of strategy.
Play Texas Hold'em against a live dealer via HD stream. Unlike regular poker, you're playing against the house — not other players. Perfect for beginners who want to try poker without the pressure.

Poker Strategy
Poker isn't just about luck — it's about making the right decisions at the right time. Here are the fundamentals you need to master.
Position is everything in poker. Playing from late position (dealer button) gives you a significant information advantage — you see your opponents act before you do. At Pedro88, exploit that edge aggressively whenever the opportunity arises.
Many new players lose by playing too many hands. Focus on premium holdings like AA, KK, QQ, AK, and AQ in the early stages. Patience is the greatest weapon of any winning poker player.
Never put more than 5% of your bankroll on a single table. If your bankroll is RM 500, stick to NL50 or below. Pedro88 offers a wide range of table limits so you can always play within your means, without the pressure.
Watch your opponent's betting patterns — how often do they raise, and do they fold easily to a 3-bet? Reading your opponents accurately lets you make better decisions even with a mediocre hand.
Players who are too predictable are easy to exploit. Mix it up — sometimes slow-play a strong hand, or bluff with a weak hand that has equity. Staying unpredictable makes you a much more dangerous opponent.
Taking a bad beat is part of poker. Tilt — playing on emotion after a loss — is the single biggest cause of losses for most players. Take a short break after a big loss before getting back to the tables.

Real Player Reviews
From beginners to seasoned players — here's what they have to say about their experience with pedro88.
"Pedro88 is the first poker platform where I truly feel the game is fair. I'd tried other platforms before that felt like there were bots at the table. Here the action feels natural, the pot sizes are reasonable, and most importantly — my RM 22,000 withdrawal after winning the Sunday Major was processed in under 30 minutes."
"I was a complete poker beginner. I started with Pedro88's daily freerolls to learn without any risk. After 3 months, I moved to cash games with a RM 100 deposit. Now I'm turning a consistent profit every week. Pedro88 also has a hand history feature that really helps me review my own game."
"Playing online poker in Malaysia, it's hard to find a platform you can actually trust for deposits and withdrawals in MYR. pedro88 takes care of all that with DuitNow and FPX. The VIP rakeback is solid too — last month I got back over RM 800 from the rake I paid. Absolutely worth it."
About Poker at Pedro88
Poker is unlike any other game in the casino world — it's not just you against the house, but a game of skill where you compete directly against other players from across Malaysia and beyond. That's what makes poker different, and it's also why the platform you play on matters so much. pedro88 understands what Malaysian poker players need and has built an environment that delivers on every front.
The pedro88 poker community is one of the most active among local online casino platforms. During peak hours — typically between 8 PM and midnight — you can find over 30 active tables running simultaneously, covering a wide range of stakes from NL50 for newer players all the way up to the VIP NL500 tables for experienced regulars. This means you rarely have to wait long for a seat, unlike other platforms where tables may sit empty or keep cycling through the same handful of players.
Texas Hold'em remains the most popular format at pedro88, and it's easy to see why. It strikes the perfect balance between accessibility and strategic depth that's virtually limitless. New players can pick up the basics within a few hours, yet truly mastering the game takes months or even years of study and experience. pedro88 offers daily freerolls as the ideal training ground — you can play in a real tournament environment without risking any money, getting comfortable with game mechanics, escalating blind pressure, and full-table dynamics before making the move to cash games.
On the tournament front, the Pedro88 Sunday Major is the biggest weekly poker event, featuring a guaranteed prize pool of RM 50,000. At just RM 50 to enter, it's accessible to most players — yet with a first-place prize that can reach RM 15,000 to RM 20,000, there's plenty of real incentive to play your best game. Every month, the Pedro88 Grand Championship ups the stakes with a RM 150,000 prize pool, an event that has become the highlight of the Malaysian poker calendar for many serious local players.
One area Pedro88 takes particular pride in is its transparent rakeback and rewards system for poker players. Unlike some platforms that obscure their rake rates or offer rewards that are difficult to calculate, Pedro88 displays its rake rates clearly and offers up to 30% rakeback for VIP Diamond members. The more you play, the more you get back — a system that genuinely rewards player loyalty rather than simply extracting profit from them.
When it comes to financial convenience, Pedro88 once again demonstrates its commitment to Malaysian players. You can deposit to play poker via DuitNow, FPX (Maybank2u, CIMB Clicks), Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, or ShopeePay. Deposits are processed almost instantly, and poker winnings are typically withdrawn within 15 minutes to an hour. For players who win at a late-night tournament or cash game, that means the money is safely in your bank account before you go to sleep.
Security and transparency are at the core of Pedro88's poker operation. All games use independently audited RNG software to ensure no player or third party can manipulate the card sequence. Pedro88 also has an active anti-collusion detection system that monitors suspicious betting patterns — protecting honest players from being exploited by those working together unfairly. Your privacy is fully protected as well; all personal data and transaction history are stored with 256-bit SSL encryption.
